Summary

NASSA (AKA N-Acetyl Semax Amidate + N-Acetyl Selank Amidate) is a combination of two similar peptides. The amidated versions for both peptides is often cited as the best due to modifications, which include an amidated group. This makes the peptides more potent and longer-lasting than the original and NAS forms.

About NA Semax Amidate

N-Acetyl Semax Amidate works by upregulating the release of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in the hippocampus. It also increases the levels of tropomyosin receptor kinase B (TrkB), and it also modulates other monoamines as well.

Variants of Semax have also shown potential in improving memory. A small-scale Russian study in healthy males reported that Semax increased memory and attention during "extreme" or "highly-demanding" tasks.
